Delia Dolor
Delia, of St Lucian parents, is a cable/radio presenter and print journalist who injected the media last year with a fresh outlook to black journalism.
Her articles on current affairs, love, relationships and sexuality in the black community have won her nominations in 1998 at the Voice (newspaper) Annual Community Awards and the Ethnic Multicultural Media Awards.
A regular face on BBC productions, the latest being Adult Life (LIVES), Delia is a subject of a BBC documentary broadcast Spring 2000.
Primary colours
Born in Edgware, London in 1963, Delia's father was formerly postmaster general in St Lucia and her mother a civil servant in the ministry of communications, work and transport.
Secondary characteristics
Delia always wanted to be in journalism and did a radio show at the tender age of 11 years old.

Degree course at University of Westminster in Contemporary Media Practice, and
Diploma course at Thames Valley University.
Work and recent activities
Delia is an account manager at ASAP - Advertising Sponsorship and Public Relations; and handles the government-sponsored Creating the Future careers fair organised by Linbert Spencer's Diversity UK consultancy.
Claim to fame
Delia has free-lanced as a journalist in print, television and radio. She has written for the New Nation newspaper; presented the Living in Colour exhibition; won comedy writing awards; and broadcast on Choice FM.

Delia is a well-known presenter at debates, awards, entertainment shows and prestigious events. These include the European Federation of Black Women Business Owners - EFBWBO evening at the Cafe Royal, London, 15th October, and the careers fair "Recruiting for the 21st Century - Leadership through Diversity, 18th November 1999, sponsored by the African and Caribbean Finance Forum (UK) and the National Black MBA Association (USA).
